2011 has been a great year for WizTeach, we have seen new partnerships with companies such as Optoma and we have hadthe release of WizTeach 3. The new Science Tools have proved a great hit and we are delighted with the feedback so far.

WizTeach was also awarded with an Award of Excellence from Tech&Learning magazine.Something we are very proud of.

As we wind up 2011 we would like to take this opportunity to wish the whole of the WizTeach community a Merry Christmas and a successful 2012.

WizTeach has been honoured with a Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence as being one of the best new edtech products of the past year. Over 160 products were tested as part of the awards process and WizTeach was one of the ones to come out on top. A big hats off to our software and design team who we believe are the best in the industry.We would also like to thank all WizTeach users for their support in making WizTeach the product it is today and look forward to it’s continuous development.

How to Reactivate WizTeach

Sometimes software updates require WizTeach to reactivated in order to access the new features. Please follow these if you are having trouble accessing new toolsets / features:

1) From the WizTeach paw open the main menu and go to Settings > New Product Key

2) Retype your product key (if required) and press the OK button

3) You should receive a message that prompts you to restart WizTeach. Once restarted you should have access to the new features.

WizTeach 3 – New Science Tools

WizTeach 3 sees the introduction of 4 New Science Tools:

Periodic Table
Molecular Structure
Circuit Symbols
Pyramid Tool

If the Science Tools are not visible after updating to version 3.0.0.8081 you may need to reactivate WizTeach. Click here for instructions.

Periodic Table

An interactive Periodic Table organised by atomic structures and groups and includes information on atomic number and the number of protons in an atom’s nucleus.

Click on each element to reveal a visual of the atom and the outer electron shell as well as links to a wiki page.

Users test students knowledge of each element by sending a text response question to Qwizdom Response Systems. This will ask students to identify the full name of each element.

Drop down menus will provide users with information on reactions, compounds, state, structure, colour, melting point, boiling point, period and group.

Molecular Structure Builder

A molecular structure builder with unlimited colour choices. Molecular structure tool bar can be resized. Users will drag molecules from the palette: clicking inside the molecule allows users to name the molecule; clicking and dragging the perimeter of each molecule will allow users to connect to other molecules.

Circuit Symbols

A collection of 14 circuit symbols and illustrations to allow users to examine the elements of a circuit.

Pyramid Tool

A hierarchical pyramid tool with up to 10 segments. Users can customise name, height, colour and text colour of each segment. Segment information can be toggled on & off. Included in Science tools but can be used for Geography, Business, Marketing ..

WizTeach 3 – New Lesson Options Interface

We’ve completely redesigned the lesson options interface making it even easier to create lessons. Once opened, the menu now appears on the left hand side of the screen and can be flipped to the right hand side of the screen, depending on your preferences.

The lesson menu can be resized by dragging the menu. When resized to full screen, users can resize individual lessons slides.

Slides can be easily reordered by drag and drop. Lessons slides can be saved as PDF, PowerPoint, Word and HTML.

WizTeach 3 – One Touch Glass Mode

We’ve made it even easier to move between platforms within WizTeach: the one touch glass mode allows users to instantly jump from WizTeach into other platforms, like Word, Web, Learning Platforms, Powerpoint etc.

WizTeach 3 also sees a redesign of the table tool interface: users can build tables in one click, quickly add/remove columns and rows and type using a self contained keyboard.
